ARE YOU A SINGLE TRAVELLER? I always have requests from folks that would like to be introduced to a new traveling partner -- or at least a roommate for some of these wonderful, upcoming trips. It is a lot less expensive to travel by 'twos' than it is to travel singly. If you would like to be kept abreast of trips where I have someone looking for a roommate, please let me know.

SEPT. 25 ~ OCT. 8, 2012 SURREY & KALISPELL FESTS!! A very EXCITING, NEW itinerary you’ll want to join! Big changes this year -- we start in Seattle with an overnite & Welcome Party on Tues. Sept. 25. The next morning, we travel by Victoria Clipper to Victoria BC for two days = including a city tour, Butchart Gardens, fabulous hotel accommodations & an evening of piano entertainment by Toni Blodgett! A Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen ferry trip into Delta, very near the Pacific Inn, where we attend two-day Jazz Festival with great local talent. Another new treat a day tour around Vancouver will show you Ft Langley & a cruise on the Fraser River on a beautiful paddlewheeler! A pizza party the nite before we board the marvelous ROCKY MOUNTAINEER RAIL (a daylite touring train across the spectacular Canadian Rockies!) Expensive, but worth it! They have built new cars & now offer a new class (that’s us!)....SILVER LEAF SERVICE! These cars have been built with your comfort & viewing pleasure in mind, as they are one level with windows going right up thru the glass domed ceiling! We will rail for two days, taking in the most beautiful scenery on our way to Banff. Here we have an overnite, breakfast & a trip a little further east to Calgary for a great view from the Calgary Tower before departing on our bus south -- we have planned a private tour of the oldest theatre in Canada, the Empress in Ft MacLeod & our lunch will be served in the ‘green room’ where many stars have spent time. Overnite in Lethbridge, then on to the eastern part of Glacier National Park & a stop in the old rail depot, Izzac Walton Inn, for lunch. The Red Lion (host hotel) welcomes us with a social gathering & we distribute the jazz badges for another super weekend at this fine trad jazz festival in Kalispell. It will be your choice of returning to Seattle by overnite Amtrak in a sleeper with breakfast - or by Horizon Air the following afternoon - both arriving Seattle on Oct. 8. All this included: 11 or 12 nites hotel, Victoria Clipper with champagne breakfast, evening with Toni, day tour & Butchart Gardens admission, BC ferry transport, day tour of Vancouver + Paddle-wheeler cruise, the fabulous two-day ROCKY MOUNTAINEER RAIL fare with breakfast. lunch & snacks, Calgary Tower, Empress Theatre, two super JAZZ eventz, bus transport in comfortable coaches. Most breakfasts, welcome party, two lunches, two delicious dinners... WOW -- what a trip!!

NOV 21~28, 2012 SAN DIEGO FESTIVAL + PALM SPRINGS!! The festival is going strong -- & growing again! I will offer an air package to San Diego the day before Thanksgiving, the 5-day jazz festival, deluxe accommodations at the host hotel, turkey day buffet, shuttles -- a San Diego City Tour & a great 2-day trip to world famous PALM SPRINGS & we will attend the FOLLIES (which you must see!)
